Yesterday Ox-Alien went to Amsterdam to paint at the Paint & Beer festival and hooked up with Fake and Mickey. Painting and drinking beer a great combination!

Just like last year, some brave Lastplakkers attended the anual Zwarte Cross. Hollands biggest festival (147.000 people), organised around motor racing, beer, tante Rikie, and music. Lastplak was asked to paint wherever we wanted as long as we stayed on the gezeilde zwarte hekken. Needless to say we had too much fun and even invented our own drink; the Lastplakker. After a 3 hour journey Sterf, Pinwin, Das Boat and sidekick Ged reached the great capital of Horst with a small detour along Venlo, to do some "live painting" at festival Alcatrazz. They builded a wooden wall for us near a cabin build out of pallets for the Dj's. The sun was burning like hell so we had to cool down with BEER, the local press bored us again with stupid questions:"Is this graffiti?" & "you do this often?" but we had a great time. For the opening of the "Spaced" exhibition in the Nutshuis in The Hague we did a live-painting session and had Dj Boortorrie and Dj Acab spinning some records. We were painting with the full crew, excluding Oles who was in St. Petersburg giving workshops to cool Russian kids, but including Cosh and Luuk Bode this time. Despite the opening was not visited by a lot of people, the beers went down well and we had good fun, here some pictures.

During the 3 days of the Young Dock festival in de Rotterdamse Schouwburg we painted a new mural with the theme 'movement' for Theatergroep Siberia. This wall we painted with Boortorrie, Oles, Pinwin, Ox-Alien, Ces53, Mayb, Sake and our two guests painters Cosh and Lizer (who did a three day intern ship with us). The wall can be seen till the end of june 2010, after that the whole theatre will be restyled. Here some pictures, enjoy!

Last weekend we were at the Delft Skate Jam where Atelier Favela asked us to paint an old wooden Lundia file cabinet. Putting the thing together almost took more time then the actual painting, but thanks to some genius with ductape, we managed. There was no real theme, but somehow we always manage to get some sort of psycadelic vibe… Sunday show ups were Torrie, Thor, Oles, Grrt, BA, mr. Z, and special guest Mickey.

Last weekend during the annual De Wereld van Witte de With festival here in Rotterdam we painted the side of the wold famous bar De Witte Aap. This time our colour theme was CMYK and we all painted monkeys. We also painted a van from the band Crappydog and a car from Convoi Exceptional. Here some pictures.
